On December 11th, the Junior Achievement board was at Hudson High School to speak to the entire Junior class. The hour-long Personal Finance presentation, was given by Junior Achievement board members, below from left to right: Deborah Smith (First American Bank), Burt Witthuhn (Provost Emeritus), Sachin Gore (Mathnasium), and standing, Bruce Hanson (RR Donnelley) and Joanne Kocik (First American Bank). The overview covered the basics of Personal Finance and highlighted the plan and topics for the upcoming meetings with all Junior students.
Volunteers will be assigned to Junior Advisory classrooms, and will present the materials on February 5 and March 5, from 7:28 to 9:20 a.m. Financial Literacy is such an important topic for students who are about to enter their post-high school years and begin their adult lives. Topics covered will include earning, employment, income, budgeting, savings, credit and debt, consumer protection, and smart shopping.
