Connecting During Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health survey using yarn to answer questions.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Hudson High School students involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) and Spreading Mental Health Awareness Through Hudson (S.M.A.T.H.), engaged other students in an interactive survey to help raise awareness regarding the stigma that can be related to mental illness.

Using yarn, participants answered question that ranged from, “Do you know someone with a mental illness?”, “Do you think people with mental illness don’t try hard enough?”, to “If I had a mental illness, I would feel safe telling a trusted friend.”
