River Crest Day of Service

Elementary students stand at tables making "bee bombs" - clay balls filled with bee friendly plant seed.

Students at River Crest Elementary School participated in a “Day of Service.” Students had the opportunity to:

  • Make “Plantables” – clay balls that are filled with bee friendly plant seeds.
  • Learn about Coco’s Heart pet rescue program.
  • Learn about the non-profit group, Hope North, which provides services to children in Uganda, Africa who have been impacted by the country’s civil war.
  • And create placemats and Valentine’s Day cards for area assisted living residents.
