Meet the Board of Education

Jamie Johnson, President

Jamie was elected to the Board of Education in April 2013. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is a senior trial attorney and shareholder with Lommen Abdo Law Firm and has worked in their Hudson office since 1990.

Jamie has served the community in various capacities including president of the Hudson Daybreak Rotary, church council president and Sunday School teacher at Bethel Lutheran Church, Hudson SAFE board member and officer, co-chair of the All Night Senior Party, STRIVE Mentor, YMCA and Hudson Booster coach and volunteer, Hudson Food Shelf board member and volunteer, and other various volunteer opportunities in the Hudson School District.

Jamie and his wife, Jean, live in the Town of Hudson and have three adult children who all graduated from Hudson High School.


Bob Baumann, Vice President

Bob Baumann was elected to the Board of Education in April of 2018. He is a Facilities Project Manager for Bremer Bank.
Bob has lived in the Hudson School District since 1996 and has three children (Hudson class of 2015, 2018, 2020).
Bob has been an active volunteer over the years for Hudson schools, hockey and soccer associations, Hudson Boosters, and the Phipps Center for the Arts. Bob currently serves on the Hudson Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Kate Garza, Clerk

Kate Garza was elected to the Board of Education in April 2021. She graduated from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Kate holds her Social Work license in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. She is a Medical Social Worker specializing in hospice care, also working with mental health, frail elders, developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities.

Kate and her husband Jesse have resided in Hudson for the past 19 years. Together, they have three children who are currently attending Hudson schools or have graduated from the Hudson School District.

Kate has enjoyed volunteering in the classrooms for the past 17 years. She serves on the Hudson Raiders Swim and Dive and Dive Boosters boards, and served as a Destination Imagination coach. Kate also provides support for those who are bereaved throughout the St. Croix Valley.


Molly Powers, Treasurer

Molly was elected to the Board of Education in April of 2021. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with degrees in History and Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies. Molly has worked in publishing, in the automotive industry and most recently, as a part-time bookkeeper.

Molly and her husband Pat have lived in North Hudson since 1993 and have two adult children who graduated from HHS in 2021.

Molly has served the Hudson community in a variety of ways, including volunteering extensively in the public schools, serving on the executive boards of the Hudson Backpack Program and Hudson SAFE, and youth ministry at Bethel Lutheran Church.

Molly enjoys reading, learning new things, cabin time, spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee, and her two pups.


Rob Brown, Member


Lynn Robson

Lynn Robson was appointed to the Hudson Board of Education in December of 2023. She previously served on the Board of Education from 2008 until 2018. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in international business. She is the broker and managing partner in a commercial real estate company, Telus Properties. In addition to her real estate experience, she has thirty years of automotive industry experience doing mergers, acquisitions, land use development and worked as a CFO.

Lynn and her husband David have lived in Hudson since 1995. They have two daughters, Danielle and Camryn. Danielle is a Hudson High School graduate and Camryn is a senior at Hudson High School. They also have three adult children, Kyle, Jenna, and Paige.

Lynn and her husband David were the 2013 recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Marie Blakeman Award for community service. She has served on the Y Partners Board, and Junior Achievement. She was also the treasurer of the Bethel Lutheran Church Finance Committee and has been an active participant in the Hudson Hockey Association and Hudson Blue Line Club. Lynn has been a top fundraiser for many years for the Hudson Relay for Life and was named the Honorary Chair. She was also on the steering committee for the capital campaign for the Hudson Hockey Association to connect the two sheet of ice.


Megan Rozowski, Member

Megan was elected to the Board of Education in April 2023. She majored in Economics at Carleton College and earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Megan is the director of research and policy development at the Minnesota Private College Council. Her career has focused on improving higher education access and outcomes.

Megan grew up in River Falls and lives in St. Joe with her husband and two daughters — her eldest attends Houlton Elementary School and her younger daughter will enroll in 4K in the fall of 2024.
