E.P. Rock Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Hudson School District. We serve approximately 400 4K-5th students in the central portion of the school district. Our vision is to empower all students to cultivate their talents, embrace their passions and leverage their learning to impact the world around them.
Title I Schoolwide Programs are designed to generate high levels of academic achievement for all students, especially those most in need of additional support. All staff, resources, and classes are part of the schoolwide program, and it serves all the children in the school.
Comprehensive Needs Assessment 2024-2025 Narrative
This year, the Hudson School District wrote Annual Goals for two of the three Priority Focus Areas: Our Students, Our Staff, and Our Community. Data is reviewed for each Priority Focus area, and the goals reflect the analysis of multiple data points. Literacy data points include FastBridge, Forward, Benchmark Assessment System, and curricular measures. Math data points include FastBridge, Forward, and unit assessment data. Behavior data based on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are recorded and accessed through our School-wide Information System, SWIS.
Our Students: The outcome of this goal is strong academic achievement, post-graduate success with life skills, and an inclusive learning environment.
After reviewing FastBridge and Forward data, we noticed a discrepancy between math and ELA. The data indicated a need for additional ELA student support, so we chose ELA as the academic focus for our Annual Goal. The table below outlines our building goal and action plan. EP Rock also chose a behavior goal because we know students need a behavior support system to learn and grow. The PBIS system in our building identifies and supports desired behaviors in our school setting. The table below includes the behavior goal and action plan.
