January Wellness Challenge
January’s Wellness Challenge is to keep yourself hydrated with water! The goal is to drink ½ – 1 oz of water per pound you weigh. For example, if you weighed 100 lbs, you would want to drink between 50-100 ounces of water EVERY day! Bringing your own water bottle to school will help you with achieving this goal. Did you know that drinking water increases your energy and helps so you aren’t so tired? Since your brain is mostly water, drinking water helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. Have your family join in! Turn in your slips Monday or Tuesday for the amazing Wellness prizes on Wednesdays each week. Watch the video from the Wellness Team here!
Would you like to learn more about the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among adolescents? Youth Mental Health First Aid can help you learn the risk factors and how to support an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. There is a virtual option being offered on January 25th to our Hudson Community. Please click on this flyer for further information and the link to sign up. We will close the registration on January 5th so participants will have time to complete the two hours of pre class work. At this time there is not a cost for the class as funding was obtained for this session.
